STEAMED CARAMEL BREAD PUDDING

One of the easiest desserts to make for Easter- Caramel Bread Pudding. Delicious and such an easy pudding which taste so yummy. It is one of the best desserts you can make with bread. I have been eyeing on this recipe for a long time. And finally, my grandma taught me, so I’d like to share it with you all too. This is great for summer time, since everyone love pudding. This pudding is made using bread and eggs which gives perfect silky pudding like texture.

Ingredients
·      Bread Slices - 2 big slices (around 1 cup cubed)
·      Milk - 1 cup
·      Sugar - 2 tsp
·      Sweetened Condensed Milk - ¼ cup
·      Eggs - 2
·      Vanilla Essence - 2 tsp
·      Sugar - ¼ cup (for caramel)
·      Ghee - 1 tsp


Instructions
1.   Take bread, milk, sugar, condensed milk, eggs and vanilla in a blender and puree till smooth.
2.   Take a baking pan, grease with some ghee. Sprinkle some sugar over it and place it over heat. Cook till your get nice caramel colour. Do not burn the sugar.
3.   Now cool the tin for few mins.
4.   Pour the prepared custard on top.
5.   Cover the pan with foil or plastic wrap and place it in a steamer and cook for 40 to 45 mins.
6.   Remove it and insert a knife to check whether the cake is done or not.
7.   Now pop the pan in fridge and let it chill for 2 hours.
8.  Slice and serve.
