There are more than 600 types of pasta; the staple food of Italy, worldwide.  Macaroni, penne, fettuccine, lasagna, spaghetti and so many more types of pasta are available which are loved by almost everyone .These pastas are mixed with a sauce like arabbiata , bechamel or cheese sauce, or stuffed with ricotta or made into a cheesy lasagna.


A Pasta dish is something that can be made in a jiffy, like mac & cheese. I personally love a mac and cheese.Whenever I am hungry and want to eat something spicy, something cheesy, all I need to do is boil some macaroni, add cheese, butter and done. And if I want to go for something spicy, then make a spaghetti aglio e olio. So let’s make some aglio e olio :-Now keep in mind no two aglio e olio recipes are the same, some like more garlic, some less.So adjust accordingly.

  • Ingredients:-
  • ·        1 pound dry spaghetti
    ·      4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    ·      6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
    ·       1/4 tbsp red chilli flakes
    ·      1/4 cup finely chopped coriander or flat leaf parsley
    ·        Parmesan cheese or cheese sauce
     Directions:-
  •      1)Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add the pasta and cook for about 9 min. Reserve 2 cups of the cooking water. Drain the pasta and set aside.

          2)Meanwhile, heat 2 tbsps of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat until simmering. Add the garlic and red chilli flakes and cook until the garlic just begins to turn light golden-brown, 2-3 minutes.
  • 3)Add the pasta water to the skillet and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. simmer until the liquid id=s reduced by half,for about 5 mins. Add the spaghetti and toss continuously until  the sauce thickens and coats the pasta,1 to 2 mins. 
  • 4)Remove from heat, stir in the parsley and remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, and toss to combine. Serve immediately, topping with cheese.
